On Thursday, July 24, the U.S. Conference of Mayors and The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) will officially designate the City of Alexandria as one of only six 2008 Ambassador Cities nationwide. Ambassador Cities are selected for their innovative, successful and effective programs that promote homeownership and affordable housing opportunities in the community. The U.S. Conference of Mayors and NAR will recognize the City of Alexandria for its successful partnership with The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR) to promote affordable homeownership opportunities to low- and moderate-income residents. …..
